The Newest Louis Vuitton Designer Handbags

Holy Moley! Louis Vuitton has really gone the limit! They are indulging in the designer collector bags along with the likes of Chanel and Fendi. Some of the newest Vuitton fashion bags are not-so Vuitton-like. Let's examine some of the newer designs and see how they've evolved.

Take a look at the top picture. You'll see a Monogram Denim Neo Cabby GM. That's a typical Vuitton type bag. Notice that its glamorous, yet appears to be effectively useful, well built and pricey, of course. At around $ USD 2300 it is in the typically mid to upper Vuitton price range. Now compare this purse with the bottom picture. This is one of the newer Vuitton models, known as the Tribute Patchwork Bag. A simple name hiding a very upscale price tag. At around $ 52,000 USD, you're looking at a new type of design for Vuitton. This is a bit more country barouche than Vuitton has shown in the past. This is another one of those more suitable-for-collectors purses than the usual practical and useful models that Vuitton is famous for.

There is really nothing ugly about the more gaudy bags but its just a bit off the beaten path for the designers. The collecting-of-expensive-purses folks who can actually afford these gorgeous items may certainly appreciate that Vuitton is showing a new look. It seems that all of the designer purse outfits are beginning to show up with the high priced, limited addition purses and bags that will certainly appreciate in value over the years but for the practical crowd, the usual low priced purses in the $1000 - $5000 range may have to do for prudence these days.

Don't forget the Vuitton Mini Grimaud - $2550

There is also a new model out that appears to be made from quilted metal. Yes, these purses even come in metallic colors such as copper and perle, which looks like a nickel or zinc color (certainly not a "pearl" as the name implies). The new line is being called the Limelight Clutch series. It will look good with your new astronaut designer outfit. The price? A mere $ 1275 USD. It will be out in September of 2007. Keep an eye out.

Look at the new Epi for under $1000

The old Monogram canvas bags have new competition within the Vuitton line itself. Yes, the new Fall, 2007 lineup includes a much more elegant Monogram Mirage model. Each starts with a monogram pattern which is thick and outstanding near the bottom of the purse. The monogram pattern then becomes more faded as it moves toward the top of the purse and, eventually, fades out altogether. Again, these are limited additions and are quite expensive. The purse, though quite beautiful, starts at around $ 8800 USD.

It seems that the newer models that Vuitton is concentrating on all hedge on the collectors editions. Maybe the more practical models will show up later in the year. Until then we can all watch and drool.
